A little boy has been killed by a stray bullet after police officers supervising the demolition of Eke Ukwu market in Owerri in Imo state, shot into the air to disperse angry traders that attacked them this morning. Armed police officers accompanied the trucks that came to carry out the demolition of the market.
The angry traders threw sticks and stones at the police officers, forcing the officers to fire gunshots into the air to disperse them. Sadly, one of the bullets landed on the deceased. Two more persons have been confirmed dead. See more photos below
